Job Overview 
To act as Insurance Manager for a portfolio of clients of Robus Risk Services (Guernsey) Limited.


Job Role

General:

  • Ensure Robus is perceived as a professional organisation

  • Adherence to the Robus procedure manual


Client Servicing Responsibilities

The Job responsibilities accompany the annual objectives for the role, but in summary consist of :

  • Working with the team to manage the affairs of regulated insurance and reinsurance companies.

  • Understand the underwriting requirements of the clients of RRS(Gsy) and the contractual frameworks in which they operate.

  • Processing insurance transactions within set parameters, liaising with third parties to ensure compliance with the parameters and referring transactions to the board where needed.

  • Managing specific client e-mail inboxes where necessary.

  • Preparing and / or reviewing insurance and reinsurance policy documentation, quotations and slips.

  • Maintaining registers of (re)insurance documentation and client insurance programmes.

  • Review and approval of premium and claims bordereaux.

  • Assisting with claims determination and claims handling.

  • Regular client contact and assistance with client management.

  • Coordination of client Underwriting Committee and Board Meetings as required.

  • Attending at client Underwriting Committee and Board Meetings and assisting in the preparation of client reports and minutes.

  • Advising on insurance developments and insurance market conditions.

  • Assisting with ad hoc project work as requested from time to time.


Qualifications, Experience and Behaviours

  • Ideally ACII qualified or working towards that qualification.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in similar position.

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic

  • Team player

  • Good time management and organisation skills, able to work to deadlines

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word and Outlook
