Robus Gibraltar strengthens its Senior Management team with new hires
Thanks to the amazing efforts of the whole team in the Robus Gibraltar, the office has seen fantastic growth over the last two years.
Not only have we won business from local rivals, but we are very proud to have helped a firm secure the first new insurance company licence in over two and a half years in Gibraltar!
With this growth, we recognised there was a need to bolster the senior team to help drive service excellence across a wider and more diverse client base.
Accordingly, we were delighted to welcome Knolly Knights Deputy Head of Risk and Compliance in July. He is responsible for both internal & outsourced processes for promoting and ensuring both Robus and our clients are compliance with laws, regulations, company policies and procedures. Knolly also has line management responsibility for our Gibraltar based Compliance team.
Commencing his Compliance career in 1998 as a Regulatory Investigatory Paralegal with the UK FCA, and laterally in the Enforcement Department, Insurance Division. Knolly has held senior Risk and Compliance Manager roles in Gibraltar since 2006 in Investment Management/Prime Brokerage Trust & Company Management. He holds an LLB Honours Law degree and Prof PGDip in Governance, Risk and Compliance (ICA). Currently studying towards the CII Foundation Insurance Test and FT Non-executive Director Diploma.
We welcomed Marcin at the beginning of August in the newly created role of Deputy Managing Director.
Originally from Poland, Marcin embarked on a professional journey at the age of 20, relocating to the UK. During his tenure with a prominent accountancy practice in the North West of England, he successfully obtained his qualification as a Chartered Certified Accountant. He relocated to Gibraltar in 2016, for an insurance management role, overseeing regulated entities, providing financial, compliance, and risk management support to a diverse range of insurance and intermediary clients.
Following a Brexit-driven re-domiciliation of a client, Marcin assumed the roles of CFO and Managing Director, leading him to Malta in 2019. We are thrilled to now have him back on the Rock!
